Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is transmitted to the third-party company that operates the search service. St. Martin Parish Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its privacy policy, so review that policy before submitting personal details.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or use a contact form, we retain the message and the contact details you supply so we can answer. We do not disclose a message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Do not send sensitive custody, medical, financial, or identification data through an ordinary message.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our systems and service providers receive routine technical information when a page loads. This information supports security, performance, troubleshooting, and general usage measurement. It may include:
- The Internet Protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name, type, and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time stamps associated with requests
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools help measure how visitors use the site and support some site functions. You can block or remove cookies through your browser controls. Certain features may work differently, remember fewer settings, or fail to operate when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used for limited operating and service purposes. Those uses include:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and secure
- Sending search requests to the selected partner service
- Understanding which St. Martin Parish resources visitors find useful
- Diagnosing errors, broken links, and performance problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general visitor interests
Privacy Beyond This Site
Links may lead to St. Martin Parish Sheriff pages, the 16th Judicial District Court, Louisiana DPS&C, LAVNS or VINELink, BOP, ICE, legal resources, and outside search tools. Once you leave, the destination’s own privacy notice and data practices apply. We do not set those rules.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the partner’s systems, not ours. Use the partner’s controls or your browser settings to manage those choices.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be provided or transmitted to:
- Search partners that process a query you submit
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess advertisements
- Law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order
Louisiana Public Records Law, including La. R.S. 44:1 and related exceptions, governs records maintained by Louisiana government custodians. It does not convert data held by this private site into a Sheriff, court, or corrections record.
Security Has Practical Limits
We use standard, reasonable measures intended to protect information under our control. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system connected to the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
This Site Is for Adults
The site is intended for users who are at least eighteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe someone under eighteen submitted personal data to us, use the Contacts page to identify the submission and request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the law that applies and the information we hold, you may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information that may lawfully be erased
- Opt out of certain uses or processing
These requests concern data held by this private site. Official St. Martin Parish jail, court, DPS&C, BOP, or ICE records must be addressed to the government office or service that controls them.
